Tastes Of the Tablelands

The 2016 Tastes of the Tablelands Festival will once again be held at the Chinese Temple Grounds on Herberton Road. Visitors are encouraged to come dressed for a garden party as there will be lots of shade, non-stop entertainment, gourmet food and cool drinks to while away the day.

Enjoy the full food experience from the land to the table at this festival. Farmers from across the region will be selling their produce on the day allowing visitors to see fresh produce at its best. The Super Chefs Competition in the Cooking Tent will be the place to see this fresh produce turned into delicious meals by chefs of our region. Chefs and apprentice chefs, will cook it out to become the champion chef of the day. This competition runs all day and should not be missed. First Cook off, 9.30am to 11am (10 mins for Judge) Second Cook off 11.15am – 12.45pm (10 mins for judge) Third Cook off, 1pm to 2.30pm (10 mins to judge)

Wander through the many stalls that sell or display products from our Tableland and Far North area and experience the diversity of the region. Enjoy the local entertainment, sip on a glass of local wine (the site is licensed) to complement huge choice of yummy food for lunch.

Delight your ears as well as your tastebuds, Tablelands Folk Festival will be providing guest performers at this year's event. Mundy-Turner will be featuring, along with many other great acts, including a selection of local performers, sure to get those feet tapping. Children will also have exciting things to see and do on the day as there is a special area set aside for children who come to the festival.

Watch out for the pre-purchased Raffle tickets ($5.00) which include fabulous prizes and FREE entry to the Festival. On the day, gate tickets will be $8.00 for adults, Aged Pensioners & High School students $5.00 and Primary kids free.
