Festival of The Knob

Saturday 18 June 2016
10am-5pm

The 12th Annual Festival of the Knob will be held at the Community Centre in Wattle Street, in beautiful grounds that are well shaded with plenty of room for live music and entertainers, jumping castles, giant slides and wandering clowns. Spend the day celebrating the colourful life of early settler George 'Yorkey' Lawson, the Yorkshire man, after whom this beach side suburb of Yorkey`s Knob was named.

There is always a great variety of stalls including doggy treats, arts and crafts, massage, plants and books. A good selection of food and drinks are on sale to keep the hunger at bay. They alos have Monster raffles and historic displays.

Each year, the residents nominate the King and Queen of the Knob, the unusual feature of their crowns is they are covered in wooden door knobs and surrounded by shells. Highlights also include the arrival of 'Yorkey' with gifts for the children.

Bring the family including your dog and enjoy the day packed with fun an entertainment. We will see you there!
